An essential part of our team is to meet with God the Father to celebrate Jesus and engage with the Holy Spirit. We meet regularly as a team but the time and place are quite varied. During these times we practice prophecy in a safe environment.
Prophetic Evangelism
A fancy title, but put simply, it is "hearing an encouraging word from God and passing it on in an uplifting way to the person that needs to hear it". You'll often see us walking around shopping centres, high streets, down the quayside, at skateparks etc. Sometimes the holy Spirit will encourage us to offer dream interpretation to people as a way of showing how much God wants to be involved in their lives.
D2E also run ‘spiritual cafes’ at community events, where spiritually hungry people can engage with God through, destiny words, dream discoveries, healing prayer or peace impartation.
Detached Youth Work
The team leaders have come out of a long term youth work ministry and still use this contact to engage with young people (at skate parks, for example) to see how help can be given.
Working with the Homeless
D2e team members help out with the joint church work (Routes to Roots) to help serve those living on the streets.
Working with the Community
From random acts of kindness (e.g. secret litter pickers) to serving on committees to make something happen. D2E will consider all aspects of how we can give something back to our neighbours.
