	W:hen young people meet together for fun and friendship, from shooting pool at the Youth club to BBQ’s at the REC.
	A:ccepting each other using Gods standard. That means looking at the inside not judging by the outside!
	V:ivid, Vocal, Visible, Vulnerable. Dig beneath the veneer and young people are all of these and more! Being real is the key.
	E:ncouraging each other to make good choices, peer pressure exists, but it can be positive. Its more than saying ‘No’ but having something better to offer
	S:top. Pause. Rewind. Looking at issues that affect young people. Using video, drama and discussion. A 10 minute timeout that can make a difference!

Waves is an youth club OPEN to ALL youth in the village and surrounding area. It meets every week on Thursday at the Lytchett Youth club between 7:30-9:30pm. The only price of admission is 10 minutes of their time to hear our Stop/Pause/Rewind topic.

Additional events like BBQ’s and Sports Nights take place from time to time at the Rec.

Wavers are young people (school year 7 up) and the leaders are members of the Lighthouse Family Church in Lytchett Matravers. No one will be forced to sing, pray and read bibles. Our aim is to provide a safe, fun environment that encourages the asking of life questions when people want to.

F.A.Q.'s
How old Must I be? You need to be in School Year 7 or later.

Whats the upper age limit? When you turn 18 you'll have to see us about getting clearance to become a helper.

Its a Christian Club isn't it? You DO NOT HAVE to be (I repeat DO NOT HAVE) to be a christian to be part of the club. Its open to ALL. However, all the leaders of the Club are members of the Lighthouse Church.

Why is there no entrance fee or subs? We dont charge money for entrance but do expect you to give us 10 minutes of your undivided attention during the evening when we do our group God Slot. If you can't or won't pay this price, then this club is not for you and we might have to ask you to leave for non payment.

What's the God Slot? A presentation or discussion topic given on range of issues that affect young people. This is always given from a Christian viewpoint. We use video clips, drama, whatever to commuicate the topic. Subjects cover a wide range of issues from self image, bullying, world health issues and living as a christian in the modern world.

Why isn't the club open during the holidays? The club is staffed by volunteers who have full time jobs. We need a break just like you.
