Mission
The call to "go" reaches beyond the local area and even our nation. We believe that Christians in the West have been blessed with so much, both financially and spiritually, that it is right to sow into other parts of the world that are not so rich.
The Lighthouse has a number of contacts and projects around the world:
JAPAN: Andy Game has been working to establish an Alpha office in Tokyo. Working with churches throughout Japan to launch the Alpha course the vision is to see the nation reached with the gospel in a culturally relevant way.
INDIA: Over the last several years teams have been visiting the Hope of Glory children's home in Pune to work with Joy and Lilliana as they reach out to street children and prostitutes in the city
UGANDA: Bex & Moses Okotel are permanently based in Mbale Uganda working with the Jenga charity in setting up a healthcare clinic in an area that has little if any medical facilities. Jenga is also involved in a variety of other humanitarian projects from providing clean water supplies to the provision of goats!
We have met with several local pastors in and around Mbale to minister and encourage them in the Holy Spirit, and have preached at several of their churches, praying for a release of the Holy Spirit and healing. We have seen a lot of people healed that way.
MALAWI: Teams from the Lighthouse have visited Laston and Mercy Kachumba based near Lilongwe to work with their church training leaders and reaching out to the local community praying for the sick and preaching the gospel. |
